summertime rainbows: july project

I did about three projects this month. They are all based on the same theme: rainbow colors. I am a total rainbow geek! I love primary colors. Since we are getting the baby’s nursery ready and we don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl, we’re going rather primary in our color choices. More than anything so far I’ve been buying/making art for the nursery (who needs a crib?!). I’m not going to post all the things I made since some aren’t finished, but here is my rainbow “stained glass” window hanging. I am planning on suspending it from the top of the window so it hangs (securely) and will hopefully bring a bit of color into the room in the dead of winter when I’m starting to get antsy for summer to come back.

Amateur? You bet! I just went all summer-camp-craft-time on a floating glass frame from Michael’s using some bleeding art tissue and Mod Podge. Love that stuff. And it was so fun!

PS: Someday I will do this with my kid! SO FUN!
